New Progress in Bio-based Dulcimer Research National Policies Promote Industry Development at a Faster Pace

　　Bio-based eucommia gum is a kind of bio-based polymer material, which refers to the plant extracted gum made from eucommia as raw material. Compared with synthetic eucommia gum, bio-based eucommia gum has the advantages of green environmental protection, good mechanical properties, good adhesive properties, etc. It has more applications in the fields of construction engineering, packaging, furniture manufacturing, health care and so on.

　　The main raw material of bio-based eucommia gum is eucommia. Eucommia is a kind of collagen plant, and its pericarp, leaves and bark contain a lot of eucommia gum. China is the largest producer of eucommia in the world, with a vast area and abundant species resources. 2023 China's production of eucommia reached nearly 300,000 tons, creating a new historical high. Hunan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei, Henan and other places are the main production areas of eucommia. In recent years, the state has introduced a number of policies to encourage the development of natural eucommia gum industry, driving its market share has increased.
